The BSc Business Management and Entrepreneurship degree provides students with an excellent foundation in developing expertise in entrepreneurship, where students will learn how to manage innovation and to develop their own entrepreneurship skills.
Students on this programme will develop essential business skills in areas such as marketing, accounting and management whilst providing students with a thorough understanding of core concepts including corporate strategy and business ethics.
This degree has been especially designed to ensure graduates are ‘business ready’ – a confident and independent thinker with detailed knowledge of business and management, equipped with the skills to adapt rapidly to change, making students of this degree best placed to plan, set up and run their own business or manage innovation in an organisational setting.
Through the support of our highly qualified and experienced academic team, graduates of this degree will gain the necessary skills, confidence and knowledge to achieve a successful career in business or entrepreneurship in a variety of sectors and organisations.
This course is delivered as part of a partnership between the University of Roehampton and QA Higher Education. The programme is validated by the University, and taught by QA Higher Education.
Evening and weekend study
For our UK and EU students, we offer the study option of evenings and weekends. This study option offers exactly the same levels of student support and the ability to balance your full-time studies with your personal life. Typically, classes are timetabled for two weekday evenings and one Saturday per week.
In year 1, students will acquire a comprehensive understanding of business that covers a range of key principles, concepts and issues. These include marketing, accounting, business readiness and data analysis in business solutions, with students taught how these functions and more work together.
In the second year, students will explore the nature of entrepreneurship in detail, as well as develop an understanding of core business functions in modules such as Project Management and Operations, Logistics & Supply Chain Management. Further in year 2, students will consolidate their knowledge of theory and its application in practice.
In the final year, students will complete a significant and independent dissertation that provides them with a platform to demonstrate the skills and knowledge acquired throughout the programme. Alongside the dissertation, students will enhance their entrepreneurial and business skills in modules such as Applied Corporate Strategy and Entrepreneurship Development.
